Belize Day 2 – Because I Still Can’t Think Of A Better Title

I slept pretty good on the couch and woke up around 7:30. I did such a good job on my ham and cheese omelette yesterday that I made another one today. After breakfast I took Linda on another geocaching adventure. This time we went in the opposite direction from where we went yesteray and today we set out on foot. On the way to the physical cache (which was about a mile and half from our apartment) we stopped and did 2 stages of a 5 stage Adventure Lab cache. The other 3 stages were a little further away and we’ll go back and do them with the golf cart another day. At the cache a local sitting at the bar pointed me in the right direction. I think I would have found it without him if I had actually read the entire description and hint, but I didn’t mind the nudge in the right direction.

On the way back we took a little break and stopped at a seaside restaraunt where Linda had a Diet Coke and I had a piece of Key Lime pie. The pie was pretty good, but I think the piece I had in Key West might have been slightly better. While we were there we got a text from Laurie about meeting up for lunch. They were at a place about 5 minutes away from where we were so as soon as we paid the bill we made our way over to them. I had no problem that I ate dessert before I ate my meal!

The restaraunt was a nice little place along the beach. The service was not the most expedient, but I didn’t mind since it was a nice ambience AND we were outside AND I had just eaten dessert. I had a chicken bacon ranch pizza that it was very good. I only ate half and brought the rest back. We got another piece of key lime pie at this restaraunt and shared it amongst ourselves. The pie at the first place was better than the second one.

Since it felt much warmer than yesterday I was ready to put on my swimming suit and sit out by the pool, but Pete and Laurie were walking to sit on the beach so I went with them. By the time we got there and found a spot it had started to cloud over and it felt much cooler with the breeze coming off the water. We sat on some loungers and chatted but technically did not lay out.

Back at the apartment we played three rounds of Swoop. I won the first game and Pete won the other two. The mosquitos were starting to bite and it was getting dark so we came back in around 6:15. Linda and I watched the last three episodes of “The Last Frontier”. I decided I like the episodes we watched yesterday better than the final three. It just got to be a little too far fetched and predictable. I ate my leftover pizza from earlier in the day and although it was 10:00, Linda and I were not yet tired and we watched the movie F1 before we called it a night.
